A surprise proposal in Vienna, photographed from a distance until the yes. Then a short session as a newly engaged couple. Your first images arrive the next day, before you fly home.
You have picked Vienna for the question. Now you are wondering where exactly, at what time, and how anyone could photograph it without giving the surprise away.
That part is my job. I know where the light falls in the late afternoon, which spots are quiet at what time, and where I can stand without being noticed. You only have to show up and ask.
You enjoy your moment. I take care of the photos.
Write to me from wherever you are. We talk by email or video call, at a time that works in your time zone. You tell me about your partner, your dates in Vienna and what kind of moment you have in mind.
Together we choose the spot and the minute. I plan where the sun will be and how busy the place is at that hour, and we agree on a sign so I know when you are about to ask.
I am there before you, out of sight. I photograph the moment you kneel, the reaction, the ring and the first embrace. Your partner won’t see me until you wave me over.
Right after the yes we take a short walk for your first portraits as an engaged couple. I show you how to stand and where your hands go, so you never have to wonder what to do.
Some couples want the grand setting: a rooftop high above the city with candles, roses and a neon sign, St. Stephen’s Cathedral on the horizon. Others want a quiet moment in a park, at the Empress Elisabeth monument in the Volksgarten or under the old trees of the Burggarten.
I have photographed proposals on a restaurant terrace facing the cathedral, on a rooftop at blue hour and in the middle of a card trick by a Viennese magician duo. A proposal happens once and lasts a few seconds. That’s why every image is already included, with no second bill for the photos you love. The €800 cover one hour of photography; flowers, decoration and cake are not part of it, a proposal planner takes care of those. Included:

If you’d like flowers, candles, a picnic or a private terrace waiting for you, two proposal planners in Vienna take care of it. I work with both and they bring me in discreetly as the photographer.

I arrive before you and blend in with the people around, a camera is nothing unusual in Vienna. We agree on a sign beforehand, so I know when you are about to ask. I photograph from a distance with a long lens until the yes, then I come over to congratulate you.
By email or video call, whatever suits you. Write to me as soon as your travel dates are set. We pick the place and time together, and on the day you only need to follow the plan.
A preview arrives the next day, so you can share the news while you are still in Vienna. All images, at least 50, follow in your online gallery, ready to download wherever you are.
The hour before sunset gives soft, warm light, and that is when most couples ask. In the popular parks, early morning is the quietest time. In summer that means late evening, in winter the light is gone by late afternoon. I plan the exact minute with you for your date.
We agree on a covered backup place before the day, close to the original spot. If the weather turns, you get a short message from me and we move there together.
A fair question. If the moment goes differently than planned, I put the camera away and leave quietly. Nobody will ever see those images.
Yes. Every couple is welcome, and the planning works exactly the same way.
If you are already engaged, a couple or engagement session is the better fit. It starts at €388 for one hour, and you choose and pay for the images separately after the session. With a proposal, all images are already included.
