You receive the first draft with your gallery after 14 days. After that we work on it together until every page fits. For design and production you have one contact: me.
I design a first draft from your images and set the sequence of the pages.
We choose material and colors and go through the draft together. Three rounds of revisions are included, each additional round costs €75.
Once you approve the design, I retouch every photo in the album once more, one by one.
Your album is printed, bound and finished by a manufactory in Italy. From your approval, production takes six to eight weeks, then the album comes straight to you.
On a factory tour of the manufactory, I watched leather hides being cut by hand, covers being stitched on the sewing machine and embossing being set in gold. Since then I know exactly what happens to your images after you have approved the design.
All three are made in the same manufactory and differ in material, presentation and character. We find out together which one suits you.
Milano has the widest choice of materials, from linen and wood fiber to leather, plus finishes as lettering or your own graphic. It is printed on photographic metallic paper or in Canon HD quality. At extra cost there is a video display, so your film has a place in the album too.
The box closes magnetically with a transparent acrylic lid, and under it lies the album with your mounted photo. That way it stands visible in the room instead of in a cupboard.
Album and box are covered in velvety soft touch laminate, in 28 shades. Finishes are possible on box and album, from embossing to raised varnish.
The manufactory binds all three with its panoramic binding: the spreads lie flat, without a fold in the middle. So an image can run across both pages without anything disappearing into the gutter.
Every cover is made individually by hand in Italy. We choose the right combination of cover, box and ribbon together during the album design.

For the Milano album there are smaller copies with the same layout and no extra design work: as a parent album in 10 × 13, 15 × 20 or 20 × 30 cm with the same panoramic binding, or as a pocket album in 4 × 6, 6 × 10 or 10 × 13 cm.
If a page ever comes loose or the binding shows a flaw, I take care of it, free of charge, for as long as your album exists. And if everyday life leaves its mark, a spilled glass or a mishap on moving day, I order the reprint for you at cost, without any markup.
